Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of CoachHive — the iOS app for coaches and the web portal for academy administrators (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
CoachHive helps sports academies manage a drill library and generate training-session plans for their coaches. The Service is currently offered as an early-access product for pilot academies and is provided free of charge during this period.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
- Accounts are created by registering an academy (becoming its owner) or by accepting an invitation from an academy (joining as a coach or admin).
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
3. Academies, roles, and content ownership
- Each academy is a private workspace. Its drill library, session templates, and session history belong to the academy, not to individual members.
- Content you create within an academy (drills, session plans) remains part of that academy’s library, including after you leave or delete your account (your authorship is anonymized upon account deletion — see section 6).
- The academy owner controls the academy, including inviting and removing coaches. Admins may manage coaches and content on the owner’s behalf.
- You retain no rights to access an academy’s content after your membership ends.
- You grant CoachHive the license needed to host, store, display, and process your content solely to operate the Service. We claim no other ownership of your content.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful, or that contains personal information about children;
- Link to videos you do not have the right to share;
- Attempt to access other academies’ data, probe or disrupt the Service, or reverse-engineer non-public parts of it;
- Use the Service to build a competing dataset by scraping or bulk-extracting content;
- Share your account or resell access to the Service.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Coaching disclaimer — important
CoachHive generates suggested training plans from your academy’s drill library. It is a planning tool, not a substitute for professional judgment:
- You are solely responsible for the safety and supervision of your players. Assess every drill for suitability given your players’ age, ability, health, equipment, facilities, and conditions before using it.
- Drill content is created by academies, not verified by CoachHive. We make no representation that any drill is safe, age-appropriate, or effective.
- Sports carry inherent risk of injury. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CoachHive is not liable for injuries or losses arising from training activities planned or conducted using the Service.
6. Account deletion and termination
- You may delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account). Coaches’ and admins’ contributions remain with their academy in anonymized form; deleting an owner’s account also permanently deletes the academy and its content, after explicit confirmation. Deletion is irreversible.
- Academy owners/admins may remove coaches from their academy at any time, which revokes those coaches’ access.
- We may suspend or terminate the Service or any account for violation of these Terms, or discontinue the Service (with reasonable notice where practicable, this being an early-access product).
7. Availability and changes
The Service is under active development. Features may change, be added, or be removed. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and data backups are provided on a best-effort basis during early access — academies are encouraged to keep their own copies of important drill material.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CoachHive and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or personal injury arising from use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (currently zero during early access) or fifty (50) US dollars.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by applicable law.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We will post the updated version at this address and update the effective date; material changes will be communicated in the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
